Our Rescue Partners
These organizations work directly with Last Chance Arkansas to place animals in
LRAS into loving forever homes. Without them LCA would not be successful. If you
are interested in becoming a rescue partner; please contact us.
Boston Dog Rescue
Specializes in saving dogs from shelters in several southern and midwestern states that have
an over-population of unwanted dogs. Shelters in Boston are virtually empty of many
adoptable breeds such as Labrador Retrievers. While BDR loves all breeds, it concentrates
mainly on saving labs, particulary black labs and lab mixes. All rescued dogs reside
in foster homes throughout the greater Boston area. BDR is run by a handful of volunteers
who devote many hours outside of work and family to rescue as many dogs as possible.
CARRE
California-Arkansas Retriever Rescue Effort is a small group of labrador Retriever lovers who rescue
labs from areas of the country where they are not wanted. CARRE was founded in 2003
by Margie Mullan in Willits, CA after she adopted her two labradors from a Beebe
Animal Shleter. To date CARRE has rescued over 100 LRAS dogs, including 32 through Last Chance Arkansas.
Leona Fasano
An individual rescuer in New Jersey who has sponsored or rescued over 30 dogs from Little Rock Animal Services through LCA.
Leona has either placed these dogs in adoptive homes herself, through a local rescue group, or financially
sponsored them to go to one of our other rescue partners. Leona has a special fondness for black and brown mixed breed dogs
that don't have the best chances of getting adopted in central Arkansas.
Mosaic Rescue
A registered non-profit society near Victoria, BC Canana that
was founded in January 2006 by Janet Land. Mosiac's mission is to rescue small
to medium sized, mixed breed dogs from animal control facilities in the U.S. To
date, Mosaic has rescued over
50! dogs from LRAS and placed them into loving, forever homes.
Mostly Beagles Rescue
A group of rescuers who decided to follow their hearts and help the beagle in Olive Branch, Mississippi. They formed to rescue, rehabilitate,
and re-home beagles that are still looking for their forever homes. They are named Mostly Beagles because
they do rescue non-beagles that they cannot pass up. In addition to helping homeless dogs find new homes, they work on public awareness
of heartworm prevention, spaying and neutering, and behavior training.

Northwest Airlines
Most of the dogs we rescue that go out of state fly to their
new forever homes on Northwest Airlines. Northwest provides exceptional service
and takes wonderful care of our dogs. We've flown over 100 dogs home on Northwest
Airlines and every one arrived safe and sound. We are very grateful to Northwest
because without them we would not be able to save as many animals. Click
