LRAS at Big Buck Classic

Last Chance Arkansas and Little Rock Animal Services attended the 2008 Arkansas State Big Buck Classic on January 26-27.
Despite the cold weather, 14 animals found new homes: three cats and 11 dogs! A big thanks to Tracy Roark from LRAS,
the Big Buck Classic organizers for inviting us, and all our volunteers for helping make this event such a success.
LCA Wraps presents for a Fundraiser
Photo Album
Barnes and Noble gave LCA the opportunity to wrap gifts for donations at
their North Little Rock Store. We wrapped on four different occasions, and they were very successful.
Last Chance Arkansas would like to thank Barnes & Noble and everyone who donated to the animals at LRAS.
Adoption Event a Huge Success
Seventy-nine animals found new forever homes on Saturday, September 22, at the Little
Rock Animal Services' adoption event. The central Arkansas community showed a great
amount of support for the animals in need, with many donating money and needed supplies
to the shelter.
In addition to their support throughout the week bathing and grooming the dogs,
PetsMart will donate $10 for each adoption Saturday, Sep. 22.
This event was a great opportunity for the community to see the new, state-of-the-art
facilty, and learn more about the great animals available every day of the year.
Without the help of our volunteers, none of this would have been possible.
LRAS rescues animals from U-Haul
Over 90 animals were rescued by Little Rock Animal Services on Sept. 14th.
Photos were taken of Last Chance Arkansas Volunteers washing the dogs
for the adoption event held on Sep. 21, 2007.

Services), the entire staff of LRAS, the LRAS Advisory Board, the City of Little
Rock Board of Directors, the Little Rock City Manager's office and all the citizens
of Little Rock who worked so hard to make this dream of a better temporary home
for Little Rock's homeless animals a reality!
Please stop by sometime and take a tour of YOUR new animal village. While you are
there adopt a new furry family member.
It is located at 4500 Kramer Street (located off South University Ave. & Col.

Last Chance Arkansas holds yard sale to raise money
The above photo shows a flag afghan that was knitted by Lori Sattler and was raffled off by Last Chance Arkansas.
It helped to raise $2,500 at the yard sale that was needed to help cover vet costs.
Many thanks to Carol Compass for organizing the yard sale and to Lori Sattler for donating all her hard work on the afghan.
Thank you Little Rock Kickball Association
On April 22nd, the Little Rock Kickball Association held a kickball tournament and
fundraiser for Little Rock Animal Services, Pulaski County Humane Society and Last
Chance Arkansas.
This generous (and fun loving!) group donated an amazing amount
money and "stuff" to benefit the animals.
The Photo above shows "The Order" a team that sponsored a dog by donating $250 to

Last Chance Arkansas can not thank the Little Rock Kickball Association enough for
