Last Chance for Arkansas Animals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing animals in partnership with Little Rock Animal Services

 

Turn your COMPASSION into ACTION!

Last Chance Arkansas needs reliable volunteers who have compassionate hearts and a desire to help save the lives of homeless animals. Here are ways to help:

Foster

We desperately need people who can provide a short-term home for dogs that have been pulled from LRAS and are awaiting transportation to out-of-state rescue groups. This is usually for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. If you think you might be interested in helping in this way, please email Carrie for more information.

Photographers

Do you have a digital camera? Do you like taking pictures? Little Rock Animal Services could use your help taking pictures of the animals to update the Petfinders site.

Holders

Even if you don't have a camera, you can still help by holding the animals for the photographer.

Describers

You don't even have to be in Little Rock to do this! All you need is a knack for words. This involves writing brief descriptions of the animals after their pictures have been posted to Petfinders. For more information on helping update Petfinders, contact Tracy at Little Rock Animal Services.

Donate

Every dog rescued from LRAS must be spayed or neutered, receive vaccinations and be in generally good health before being placed in an adoptive home. Although we receive very generous discounts from several Little Rock area veterinarians, it still costs a significant amount of money for every dog rescued. In addition to veterinary expenses, we frequently have transportation expenses to get a dog to his forever home. We try not to let money stand in the way of saving these wonderful dogs, but we have to cover our expenses or we can't continue doing what we do. Donations can be made by PayPal or check. Other Ways to Help

Raise Awareness

One of the easiest ways you can turn your COMPASSION into ACTION is by distributing Last Chance Arkansas promotional material. These flyers spread the word about how people can help the animals at Little Rock Animal Services and raise awareness of the plight of these homeless animals. We spend all the money that is donated to us on the animals, rather than on advertising, so it would be a huge help if you could help us advertise in this way!

Simply download and print the material from the links to the left and then post or leave them at your local vet offices, pet stores, retail stores, schools, churches, restaurants, your place of employment .... anywhere you can. Please get permission from the business owner or manager before posting or leaving them!
